Sony Ericsson Sync is closing down soon – switch to Google Sync now
Just a quick reminder that on 29th December 2011, the Sony Ericsson Sync service will close down. But do not worry – you can transfer all your stuff across to Google Sync today, straight from your handset or via the web.
Your new Google Sync service will put you in control of all your contacts and calendars. And because it’s also a member of Google Mobile services family – which includes Gmail™, Google Voice Search™, Google Maps™ and YouTube™ – you’ll have everything you need at your fingertips.
So, remember to switch over before 29th December 2011 to make sure you don’t lose your contacts, calendars and notes when the Sony Ericsson Sync service closes.
Nokia exec says iPhone is boring, Android is too complex
Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform is a breath of fresh air in a crowded smartphone market riddled with boring iPhones and overcomplicated Android handsets.
Nokia Entertainment Global director of portfolio, product marketing & sales Niels Munksgaard told Pocket-Lint as much in an interview on Tuesday while discussing the state of the mobile space.
“What we see is that youth are pretty much fed up with iPhones. Everyone has the iPhone,” Munksgaard said. “Also, many are not happy with the complexity of Android and the lack of security. So we do increasing see that the youth that wants to be on the cutting edge and try something new are turning to the Windows phone platform.”
